Menstrual problems

Massage can help to relieve the symptoms of Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) and menopause These can include depression, cramps, water retention, headaches, backaches, insomnia and emotional stress. A soothing massage helps to bring the body back into a state of calm and balance. A complete body massage is best but if the abdomen is sore and time is limited, work on the lower back and legs. During the massage the following points should be incorporated. Or, if you are short of time, simply press into these points for 7-10 seconds The following essential oils can enhance the therapeutic effect of your massage. Add them to your base massage oil:
For all menstrual problems - rose
For scant and irregular periods - jasmine
For heavy periods - frankincense
For cramping pain - marjoram
For menopause and to balance hormones - geranium
